Waupecan Valley is for the camper seeking quiet renewal in a tranquil setting.  The natural secluded valley is for tents, no hookups, plenty of room, trees, and green. The Waupecan Creek moves through the valley at a seasonal pace and is a good place to cast a line or wade in the cool running water.  The ridge above the valley has the necessities for quality camping or RVing.  There is also a casual conference facility and office;  the shower house with hot showers and flush toilets and a playground for small children. The Pasttime House next door is a full sized antique shop open Thursdays during the season, by chance or appointment.

Directions

Located off I-80 at the Morris Exit #112. Go south on Route 47 through town to the Illinois River Bridge. One mile south of the bridge, at the second traffic signal, turn west on Southmor Road and come two and one-quarter miles to the gate on the south side of the road marked Waupecan Valley Park. It is just before the creek bridge.
